What our guests are saying about their stay

The Roman Family from New Jersey-stayed July 2002
There were so many things we enjoyed about your place first there was the sound of the ocean at night and in the morning upon awakening, the price was also one of the main factors, the going cost for that area was anywhere from 240-325 per night, the ability to have Miguel as a resource for the place was great. He came every morning to clean the place and see if we needed anything, the convenience of an efficiency was very useful on those days when you were tired of eating out you had the option of making home cooked meals which we did once or twice, the proximity to the area of shopping was great, the peace and quiet at night when you slept was wonderful since the location is so remote from the bustle of the city. Overrall we loved staying at your place and would deifnitely stay there again. I also loved the convenience of having a washer and dryer onthe premises I usually bring home dirty clothes to wash when we go away this time I had no dirty clothes to bring home.
Thanks, Myrna

The Bristow Family from Oregon-stayed part of July & August 2002
Hi Diana:
Yes I have my laptop so I do get e-mail. Everything is fine. Your house is very nice! I love the view from roof terrace! Mike is a great guy and resloves any problems that arise as quickly as possible. Our kids have fallen in love with the doggies. They bought doggie treats. Yesterday they fed her a leftover filet and a NY steak. I was looking forward to heating them up and have it for snack! LOL. Every thing is great!

The Rivera Family from California-stayed July 2002
Hi Diana,
Puerto Rico was wonderful! We did receive our deposit back...I'm sorry I didn't communicate w/you earlier.
Unfortunately my husband and children stayed at the other condo in dorado which was not half as nice as your home. But those were the logistics that worked out better for our family.
However, we did visit your home several times and enjoyed the openness of the house and the beautiful views. It was a lovely home and very clean and comfortable. The beach where your home was located was very beautiful...my two brother in laws actually saw a small whale which was quite exciting!
Anyhow, my inlaws and other sister in law loved the house very much... so I'm very happy we found your website.
Take care, Diana

The Turks from California who stayed in August 2002
Diana & Al,
Sorry I have not responded previously but work has been fairly busy and I have been traveling a lot recently. Yes, I did receive the deposit back. Thank you. And thank you for all your help with the rental. It was a great place (though the kids really enjoyed the puppies). It was great to be back. Once we were oriented to the location, it was fairly easy to get around and to take care of things. The only issue was when we flew in we followed your alternate directions and go lost briefly. Between it being night and the lack of a good local map, it took us some time to get the right place. Again it was a great place. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Jeff Turk

Shana and Anna from Michigan who stayed September 2002
Diana,
First I would like to thank you for returning our deposit so quickly. We had such a wonderful time in your home, being right on the beach like that was such an amazing PLUS! We woke up in the morning and jumped straight into the water. I tried to learn to spear fish and the end result is that If I needed it to survive I would starve... We found SO MUCH to do on the island and we even left the island for a night and stayed on a remote, smaller island off the East coast...What a blast! You will be hearing from us again next year, I promise!
Thank you again,
Shana

The Johnson family from Texas October, 2002
Diana and Al:
What a beautiful home and private beach! You thought of every detail to make our visit an enjoyable one, from the fresh linens, the microwave, the grill, the refrigerator, the roll away bed, and Blackie. She was so cute! She got to know us well and every night waited for us. They were fed twice while we were there since I didn't know that Miguel was feeding them also. The first week we were ushering the brown dog away and telling him that he was trespassing. Miguel caught up with us the second week and told us that the brown dog was Blackie's companion. Those two dogs must have thought that we were crazy by asking one of them to leave (smile). We put over one hundred miles in the car researching cemeteries and visiting long lost relatives and those we did'd now to update our family tree. In all it was a very sucessfull trip thanks to you, Al and Miguel. We left the home in the same condition that we found it and we took pride in moping the floors every day before we left. We took 14 rolls of 27 each of the beach, the home, the cementeries, the towns, and family members. I will be sending you some copies for your "new family" album.
Best Regards,
Margarita

Kevin Mast from Brooklyn, NY stayed in Dec, 2002
Dear Al and Diana, I guess this is the first time I get the priviledge of writing to you both. Kevin told me that you wanted our opinion of our stay in Dorado. I/we really enjoyed our time there. The house was more than we both expected. It was a little nerve wrecking for us because sometimes pictures seem nicer on paper than they do in real life but we were very happy with what we found. My favorite part was the outlook of the ocean. Everything we needed for staying there was available for our use. We liked it soo much that we kept thinking as we toured the house that we couldn't wait to tell our friends about it so that maybe the next time they can come with us.
I guess I will say that we enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return sometime soon... maybe on our second anniversary. We might also be interested in renting the second floor when we come. I guess we will be in touch when the time comes. It was a pleasure giving you busines. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Regina Ramos from Bridgeport, CT. stayed in Dec, 2002
Hello Diana, the house is really beautiful. It is my first time we renting a house like that. We have plans to go back in the summer. I want to know how much is the second floor? We had a really good time and Miguel is a nice person. I hope you have happy holidays and the new year brings to you a blessing.
Thank you for renting me the house!
Regina

The Zindell family from Illinois stayed Christmas 2002
Hi Diana,
We enjoyed our stay in Dorado and your beautiful home. It is a beautiful, spacious home in a quiet neighborhood. It was roomy enough for our stay with our children and eight people slept in the house very comfortably, yet my we were able to have privacy in the upstairs bedroom. The grill was a great plus, since we barbequed dinner twice and there were an ample amount of towels, linens and kitchen items. We loved having the washer and dryer! It is a beautiful site. We went to the rainforest and to Loquilla beach, as well as visited Old San Juan.Thank you for all your advice on the island and consideration.

The Weits family from Grand Rapids, MI stayed New Years 2002
We enjoyed your rental home very, very much!! Your house is neat, roomy and very attractive. We felt comfortable which was very important since we had our whole family with us. We slept 10 and a baby for a couple of nights. (The other nights we had 8 and a baby.) Which was no problem at all. The home lends itself to entertaining, dancing and family get-togethers. We had a wonderful New Year's Eve Party upstairs in the big living/dining room.
Your home has a fantastic view of the ocean. We took lots of pictures of the waves, the surfers and our kids swimming. And the sound of the waves at bedtime always guarantee that you will be lulabyed to sleep for a restful night's slumber; only to awake the next morning ready for another exciting day of adventures.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. When we return to Puerto Rico again to visit our son and his family we will certainly ask to stay in your beautiful home again!
Best regards,
Tony and Shirley Weits

Linda Klein from Minnesotta stayed in March 2003
Hi, Diana
We're back in Minnesota and already miss the beaches of Puerto Rico! Our family had a wonderful time there, and everyone is anxious to return.
We were so pleased with the accommodations in your beautiful home. We had all the comforts of home as well as a fantastic view of the ocean. Bambi and Rex became our buddies very quickly, and everyone made sure they were well fed! There was so much to see and do in the area and also within short driving distances from this central location--el Yunque Rainforest, Old San Juan, Luquillo Beach, Rincon Beach area, Vieques Island, Isabella Beach, Cerro Gordo Beach, Camuy Caverns and more. We enjoyed meals in a variety of places such as Pee Wee's Grill and De Aqui De Alla. Paula was so helpful and was available whenever we had questions. The "Black Book" provided a lot of helpful hints for us, and we consulted it frequently.
Thank you for sharing your Dorado home with us. We look forward to a second opportunity to visit Puerto Rico and hopefully use your accommodations once again.

Thank you,

The Schepplers from Florida stayed February 2003
Dear Diana and Al,
Many thanks to you both for sharing your beautiful home in Puerto Rico with us. Your location is ideally situated with ocean and reef views that are outstanding. The Mexican style interior was very tasteful and comfortable.
Being away from the resort areas in the town of Dorado was most interesting giving us the opportunity to mix and converse with the locals.
The pleasant surprise came in seeing and exploring the sights of Puerto Rico. The beaches, rain forest, caves, mountains and nearby islands were wonderful to experience. We also enjoyed our visits to the resort hotels, casinos and Old San Juan. The restaurants were first class. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to come to your beautiful home and island.

The Carey family from Little Rock, AR. stayed March 2003
It was absolutely fabulous! We had a wonderful time. We went to see a lot of things and had beautiful weather. Your home offered us a place to relax and get away from people. The view was spectacular, and I'll e-mail you some photos when I get them downloaded. Thanks so much!

The Kain family from Monsey, NJ stayed in January 2003
Hi Diana; Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner but business, construction, the wife, ( she's even looking over my shoulder as i write this) etc-- you know how it is. Anyway, as you know we had a wonderful time at Dorado. In fact, the best compliment i can give is that we want to reserve a spot for next year, around the last week in January, we might even want to take the upstairs as well. Our date are not firm yet, but we're putting in our dibs. By the way are there other properties in PR that you have that we can reference our friends to since we all vacation around the same time.
One thing that might be good for you to look into is how to obtain access to the Hyatt resorts-- guest passes arranged before time? user fees? etc.-- something to think about to make the vacation even more enjoyable.
Talk to you soon-- enjoy the weekend
Aron

Nicol Fiala from Brooklyn, NJ stayed January 2003
Being from Brooklyn, New York I find it necessary to get away from the hustle of the city as often as possible, after my recent experience I would recommend no greater place than Diana and Al's Dorado getaway. This was the first trip my significant other and I had gone on together, the beauty of the city, beaches and accommodations provided made this hiatus one we’ll never forget. Their home was immaculate and provided us with a sense of cleanliness and everlasting security. Another downfall to city life is the absence of space, one thing you'll definitely get at a price you need to look twice at to believe is this Dorado bliss. Whether your waking up to the smell of the ocean, lounging in the hammock perched outside or simply overlooking the beautiful scenery from the balcony, there is never a moment when you'd wish to be elsewhere. Our evenings were spent dancing, eating at fantastic local restaurants, enjoying San Juan and simply hitting the casinos and golf courses only minutes away from your new home. In fact, we are currently trying to figure out our schedules so we can rent this home again next year, but this time we're bring friends!
Best Regards
Nicol Fiala

Ron Thielman from Michigan stayed April, 2003
It was a real treat for me to spend some time at the Fiorini's home in Dorado. The view of the ocean is beautiful and the house itself is very stunning and a real bargain for vacationers. Thank you Al and Diana.
Yours truely,
Ron Thielman

Bjoern Wissel family from Baton Rouge, LA stayed April 2003
"I found these wonderful apartments on the hunt for a place to stay for my family during my wedding in Puerto Rico. Everyone loved the place right away. It is not only the location right on the ocean, but also the interior with its spacious rooms and huge window fronts with ocean view everywhere. Dorado itself is a perfect place from where you can explore the rest of the island: San Juan, the rain forest, the caves, and and and can be reached within a couple of hours. Yet, if you don't feel like driving around, you just sit back and enjoy the beach or walk over to the local bar to have a cold one. Al and Diana (as well as the local manager Paula) are very pleasant people to deal with, flexible when travel dates or number of guests change and always accessable by e-mail and phone. Overall, they manage their property friendly but professionally."

Chuck Francis family from Tulsa, OK stayed May 2003
Ole, Everything went fine. Sorry for not answering we kind of turned off technology while we were there.
Hope Paula found everything in order. We feel like we left it better than we found it.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The boys loved the beach we tried to get in some playing in the surf time most days.
I got to tell you though the highlight of our vacation was the side trip to Vieques and kayaking out into the bioluminescient bay Thursday night and snorkeling Friday morning with Blue Caribe diving in Esperanza. What a fantastic and beautiful experience. We drove home back across San Juan in rush hour traffic Friday evening which was a different kind of experience, first time I've ever seen an 8 lane expressway become 12-14 lanes in a free form fashion. Thank you for the use of your home
Chuck and Family
